He researches weather and climate extremes, conducts climate risk assessments, and applies deep learning to improve extreme event prediction. Holding dual PhDs in Atmospheric Physics and Meteorology, his work supports climate resilience and sustainable adaptation.

He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical/Petrochemical Engineering, has over 18 years of industry experience with Halliburton, and specializes in oilfield chemicals and environmental management. A fellow of several professional bodies, he has published over 180 papers, supervised many Ph.D. students, and serves as Africa Regional Representative of NREP, USA.

Professor Ogbonna F. Joel is a Professor of Petroleum Engineering at the University of Port Harcourt and Commissioner for Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Abia State. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical/Petrochemical Engineering, has over 18 years of industry experience with Halliburton, and specializes in oilfield chemicals and environmental management. A fellow of several professional bodies, he has published over 180 papers, supervised many Ph.D. students, and serves as Africa Regional Representative of NREP, USA.

Professor Chiedozie Ngozi Egesi is the Executive Director/CEO of the National Root Crops Research Institute (NRCRI), Umudike, and former Global Project Director of the NextGen Cassava project at Cornell University, USA. A renowned plant breeder and biotechnologist with a Ph.D. in Plant Breeding and Genetics, he has developed over 30 improved cassava varieties widely adopted across Africa. He is also President of the Nigerian Plant Breeders Association (2020–2025) and has authored over 140 scientific publications, earning global recognition for advancing food security and agricultural innovation in Africa.
