CALL FOR PAPERS

We are pleased to invite paper submissions for the upcoming International Conference on Sustainable Procurement, Environmental, and Social Standards, ICPES 2025. This Conference is organized by the FUTO Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Procurement, Environmental, and Social Standards (CE-sPESS), in collaboration with the School of Environmental Sciences (SOES) and the Directorate of General Studies (DGS).

All human projects and activities affect the environment and social life. Conducting procurement without due regard to environmental and social sustainability continues to pose significant challenges. Additionally, climate change and other external pressures are intensifying conflicts and insecurity in communities globally. This Conference will provide a unique interdisciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and industry leaders to share innovative research, case studies, and best practices that support sustainable and resilient livelihoods.

Full paper presentations will be considered for possible inclusion in a special issue of a peer-reviewed journal. The first day (17th November 2025) will include arrival and hands-on workshops on selected topics in environmental and sustainable procurement. Workshop registration details will be made available on the conference website.

The Opening Ceremony will feature a panel discussion from experts on Nigerian government efforts to bridge the skills gap and promote professionalism in Procurement Management, Environmental, and Social Standards.

Exhibition Opportunities: ICPES 2025 will also provide exhibition opportunities for companies and entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services.
